Welcome to 9th Grade Health Enhancement!
9th Grade Health Enhancement combines fitness and sport with specific health education concepts in the classroom. 9th Grade Health Enhancement emphasizes health as a value in life and enhances critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills regarding health issues. Students will rotate from Health in the classroom to Physical Education In the gym or outside.
A basic breakdown of a week in 9th Grade Health Enhancement is as follows:
Mondays - Mile Mondays - (Cardio Activities - Circuit Training, Mile Runs, Walk/Jog Activities, Pacer Test, etc.)
Tuesdays - Training Tuesdays - (Weight Lifting Activities, Crossfit Style Cardio, etc.)
Wednesdays - HEALTH
Thursdays - Activity/Game - (Unit Activity)
Fridays - Fun Friday - (Teamwork Activity, Team Based Game)
