Hello, I'm Marge Nearpass. I grew up in Great Falls, MT, where I graduated from Great Falls High. I attended college in Billings, MT, at Eastern Montana College, now called MSU-Billings. I earned an AA degree in Psychology and a BS degree in Education with a reading endorsement. My career in Red Lodge began with nine years teaching kindergarten. I have been teaching second grade since 1999. The things I enjoy most about second graders is their enthusiasm and energy! One of my goals is to make second grade their most memorable year in school. I look forward to a terrific year getting to know you and your child.

I've been married to Brent since 1987. Our children are Austin and Laura. Austin graduated from Red Lodge High in 2010 and graduated from Carroll College with a BS degree in biology in 2014. Then he returned to school to become an RN. He is now working at the hospital in Livingston. He is married to a lovely lady named Emma, she is also a nurse in Livingston.  Laura graduated from Red Lodge High in 2015 and attended college at MSU-Bozeman.   In 2019 she graduated with a BS in Community Health and a minor in Psychology. Right after graduation, she started graduate school still at MSU to pursue a masters in counseling.

Yes, I have an empty nest. It makes me tear-up just to say the words. But once a parent-always a parent.  It's the most important role of a life. I enjoy reading historical fiction, gardening, hunting, hiking, kayaking, and caring for my family and home. I think Red Lodge is a great place to live, raise a family, and work. I feel very fortunate to work for the Red Lodge School District. Teaching your child is a role that I take very seriously. I will do my best to help your child feel successful, expand their knowledge, and guide them to be a good citizen.
